Craig Ferguson is a New York-based copywriter working at agencies such as Devito/Verdi, Droga5, Deutsch and Dentsu. Only agencies beginning with the letter D.

Craig got his start in strategy at McCann New York moderating focus groups for Preparation H. “I realized I was not in the most fun department at the agency,” he admitted, “when I heard the creatives laughing behind the glass at the group’s woes.” He was also part of the elite team on Emotional Bonding, McCann’s proprietary research technique that was first used for Coca-Cola and is still in use today for clients such as Mastercard.

He took a break from advertising and did other things. This led to freelance work as a comedy writer for Amy Sedaris, contributing to her best-selling book "I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence".  He also had a long run working for drag superstar (of the world!) RuPaul where the catch phrase “you better work” originally just meant Ru needed you to work late again. Other creative pursuits include writing and illustrating a syndicated comic strip and creating downtown, off-off-off Broadway theater. And while he is generally not mistaken for the former CBS Late Night host who shares his name, he does not correct that assumption when making reservations at Per Se.
